INTENDED USE
(For In Vitro Diagnostic Use Only)
DM-58 LH Lyse is used by the Mindray BC 5800 hematological analyzer as red blood cell hemolysing reagent for the assay of hemoglobin.
SUMMARY AND PRINCIPLE
A sample volume of a whole blood specimen is aspirated into the analyzer where the sample is segmented into 4 portions in a shear valve. Two of these portions are diluted with DM-58 D Diluent. To one of the dilutions a lysing reagent (DM-58 LH Lyse) is added for the measurement of hemoglobin (HGB). The other dilution is introduced into impedance particle analyzer where the red blood cell count (RBC) and the thrombocyte count (PLT) is measured. DM-58 D Diluent is also used by the instrument as a sheath fluid in the flow cell where the white blood cell count (WBC), lymphocyte count (LYM), monocyte cell count (MONO), eosinophil cell count (EO), basophil cell count (BASO), neutrophil cell count (NEU) measurement is performed. Consult your specific instrument Operator?s Manual for additional information with respect to procedures and principles for whole blood hematological analysis.
