INTENDED USE
(For In Vitro Diagnostic Use Only)
Diaton-CD 3/3.5 Diff. is used by Cell-Dyn 3000/3500/3700 hematological analyzer as a whole blood sample DILUTING reagent.
SUMMARY AND PRINCIPLE
A sample volume of a whole blood specimen is aspirated into the analyzer where a portion of it is automatically diluted with Diaton-CD 3/3.5 Diff. A portion of this dilution of the sample is then introduced into impedance cell where the red blood cell count (RBC) and the thrombocyte count (PLT) is measured. Another portion of the aspirated blood sample is also diluted and a hemoglobin lyse reagent (Dialyse-VIC-CD 3.5 for Cel-Dyne 3500/3700, or Dialyse-CD 3.0 for Cell Dyne 3000) is added for hemoglobin (HGB) measurement. This dilution is used for white blood cell count (WBC) impedance measurement on the Cell Dyne 3500/3700 instruments. A third portion of the aspirated blood sample is diluted with the sheath reagent (Diasheath-CD 3.5) for white blood cell count (WBC), lymphocyte count (LYM), monocyte cell count (MONO), eosinophil cell count (EO), basophil cell count (BASO), neutrophil cell count (NEU) measurement in the flow cytometer. Consult your specific instrument Operators Manual for additional information with respect to procedures and principles for whole blood hematological analysis.
