Diaton 5D

Code: 33101
Diaton 5D

INTENDED USE
(For In Vitro Diagnostic Use Only)

Diaton 5D is used by DIAGON D-Cell 5D hematological analyzer as a whole blood sample DILUTING AND SHEATH reagent.

SUMMARY AND PRINCIPLE

A sample volume of a whole blood specimen is aspirated into the analyzer where the sample is segmented into 4 portions in a shear valve. Two of these portions are diluted with Diaton 5D. To one of the dilutions a lysing reagent (Dialyse-HB 5D) is added for the measurement of hemoglobin (HGB). The other dilution is introduced into impedance particle analyzer where the red blood cell count (RBC) and the thrombocyte count (PLT) is measured. Diaton 5D is also used by the instrument as a sheath fluid in the flow cell where the white blood cell count (WBC), lymphocyte count (LYM), monocyte cell count (MONO), eosinophil cell count (EO), basophil cell count (BASO), neutrophil cell count (NEU) measurement is performed. Consult your specific instrument Operators Manual for additional information with respect to procedures and principles for whole blood hematological analysis.
